Initial Design Challenge
Create high-fidelity wireframes and wireflows for a plant care app, demonstrating the user experience and guiding developers in understanding user journeys and UX design.

Problem Statement & Context

Plant enthusiasts face difficulties in identifying plant species, organizing their care routines, and diagnosing plant issues, leading to frustration and inconsistent plant health. Without integrated tools for tracking growth and receiving timely care reminders, users struggle to maintain effective plant care. The absence of streamlined solutions forces them to rely on multiple sources, complicating their efforts and diminishing their gardening experience.

Home
The Home page of Verdure is designed as the central hub for users. It features a search bar at the top for quick plant information retrieval, followed by upcoming reminders to keep users on track with plant care.
Users can explore all plants, read expert articles in the Leafy Learnings section, and use the bottom navigation bar button to quickly access and scan plants for identification or diagnosis.

Scan Plant -
Identify Plant
This journey involves users using their camera to scan a plant for identification. The app quickly analyzes the photo to provide the plant's name, classification, characteristics, and care tips, making plant identification seamless and informative.

Diagnose
Users can scan their plants to quickly identify issues or search through the common diseases section for potential problems. Additionally, users have the option to chat with an expert by sending photos of their plant, ensuring they receive tailored advice and solutions.
Scan Plant - Diagnose
Similar to the identification journey, users can scan their plant to diagnose issues directly. The app analyzes the plant's condition through the photo and provides a diagnosis along with recommended treatments, simplifying the problem-solving process.

Completing the UX proposal for Verdure was an engaging part of an assessment process for a UX Design position with an anonymous company. One of the initial challenges was understanding the expected level of detail for such an assignment. Designing a user experience for a mobile app differed from my previous experience with web-based platforms. However, my extensive use and critique of various apps aided in conceptualizing user journeys that would offer a seamless experience. Although these ideas need further testing, this project was a fun and enlightening endeavor that broadened my UX design skills.
